Convergences and Divergences in the Ibero-American space

During 15th-17th July 2021, The Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, through the Department of Romance, Classical and Modern Greek Languages and Literatures is organizing the first International Colloquium of The Ibero-American Studies Association (Asociația de Studii Iberoamericane din România, ASIR), on the topic of Convergences and Divergences in the Ibero-American space.

The colloquium will include four plenaries presented by professors Eva María Valero Juan (University of Alicante), Maria Helena Araújo Carreira (University Paris 8), María Ángeles Álvarez Martínez (University of Alcalá de Henares), and Coman Lupu (University of Bucharest). The communications will be structured on four main panels addressing two major topics: Literary, Cultural and Traductology Studies, and Linguistics and Didactics Studies.

At the same time, the colloquium will also host, amongst other activities, the presentation of the project El español en Europa: Rumanía y Moldavia, moderated by Silvia-Alexandra Ștefan, organizer of the event.
