Announcement of a doctoral position at the University of Vienna

We invite you to be a part of the EU Research Framework Programme H2020 / Marie Skłodowska‐Curie Actions “PROTON.”
We look for students holding their Master’s degree in (Bio)Physics, (Bio)Chemistry, Bio‐logical Engineering, Nanotechnology or Molecular Biology interested in membrane bio‐physics and structure/function of mitochondrial proteins.
You are eligible to apply if you (i) are in the first three years(full‐time equivalent) of your research career; (ii) have not resided or carried out your main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Austria for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment; iii) are competent in written and spoken English.
Experience in protein characterization techniques, handling of E.coli, handling of anti‐bodies, and electrophysiological techniques is advantageous.
Your responsibility will be measurements of the transport function of transmembrane uncoupling proteins and their mutantsin artificial lipid membranes and giant liposomes.
