The ArchaeoScience#RO Platform of the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest – ICUB (Bucharest, Romania) and HOGENT – Department of Real Estate and Applied Geomatics (Ghent, Belgium) in collaboration with the Municipality Museum of Bucharest, the Lower Danube Museum, and Gumelnita Civilisation Museum, with support of the Ministry of Culture and National Identity and Manastirea Local Council is pleased to announce the second ArchaeoSciences Summer Schools.
This is a new initiative dedicated to the students that have the goal to transmit meaningful information about the current interdisciplinary methods and approaches used to study the past.
Entitled “Introduction in Photogrammetry and GIS” the second ArchaeoSciences Summer School will take place at Sultana, Calarasi County (Romania) from Friday 26 July to Saturday 3 August 2019.
The event aims to cover a wide range of topics relating to topography, geomatics, GIS, UAV, spatial data processing, and photogrammetry under the supervision of our guest speakers Dr. Cornelis Stal (Lecturer and Researcher at Department of Real Estate and Applied Geomatics, HOGENT, Ghent, Belgium).
This Summer School will be dedicated for the students from University of Bucharest (Romania), Paris 1 – Panthéon-Sorbonne University (France), HOGENT (Belgium), and University South Florida (USA) presented at excavations on Sultana archaeological site.
