ArchaeoSciences Round Table


The Division of ArchaeoSciences – the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB) is pleased to announce first ArchaeoSciences Round Table event.

These round tables represent a recent initiative of our division that proposes a framework for specialists at different career stages, including master’s, doctoral and postdoctoral students from Romania and abroad, to identify joint research projects and bilateral training opportunities in the field of Archaeological Sciences.

The first event in the ArchaeoSciences Round Tables series will take place on Friday, December 11, 2020, at the University of Bucharest, and our guest will be Dr. Anca Dan, CNRS-ENS, University Paris Science Lettres (France).

It will be discussed aspects related to the current collaborations between CNRS-ENS, University Paris Science Letters, ICUB and the University of Bucharest, but also the opportunities for future joint research projects. Also, the professional training opportunities for master’s, doctoral and postdoctoral students from Romania and France, in the laboratories of both institutions will be analysed, in order to develop a long-term sustainable collaboration.

The event will take place starting with 10:00 am, at the Research Platform in Biology and Systemic Ecology within the Faculty of Biology, Splaiul Independenței, no. 91-95 (entrance from Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu Street), Bucharest, conference room of on the ground floor, Friday, December 11, 2020.

The event will be organized under the conditions imposed by the current pandemic situation, with a limited number of participants and compliance with the rules of social protection and distance.
