
The ArchaeoSciences Division of the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB) is pleased to announce a new ArchaeoSciences Workshop entitled “Archeoclimate BP – Interactions between climatic and environmental conditions and human societies during the Holocene in SE Europe (II)”.
The event aims to address issues related to climate changes recorded in the Holocene, in correlation with their impact on the environment and prehistoric human communities in the current area of Romania (c. 8000-2000 cal. BC). This is the second part of a series of events initially organized in Cluj-Napoca, in February 2021, which brings together researchers in archaeology, biology, geology and geography from ICUB, “Emil Racovita” Institute of Speleology in Cluj-Napoca, National History Museum of Romania, Institute of Archaeology and Art History in Cluj-Napoca, and “Vasile Pârvan” Institute of Archaeology in Bucharest, who will present data related to paleoenvironment, paleoclimate, chronology and archaeology about the Neolithization process of the targeted geographical area.
The event will take place at Faculty of Biology – Research Platform in Biology and Systemic Ecology, Conference Room, Ground Floor, Splaiul Independenței, no. 91-95, Bucharest, and starting at 10:00 a.m.
