Speaker Bio: Prof Kirk Chang is a leading expert in AI-empowered management, along with three decades of experience in the academic and consulting fields. His research explores technology and its influence on employees, teamwork, group dynamics and organisational performance. Prof. Chang has held academic positions at top institutions, including the University of East London, Salford University, and Southampton University, and served as an examiner and PhD assessor. A Chartered Scientist (CSci) and Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol), he is also a Fellow of the Royal Society, CIPD, BPS, and HEA. Prof. Chang has collaborated with organisations on employee training, managerial intervention programmes and AI-driven management solutions. He actively supports SMEs and MNEs across industries, from manufacturing to telecom. Recently, he has worked with the Chinese Telecom Industry and the Chinese Academy of Personnel Science to enhance recruitment efficacy and improve the performance reward system through AI-driven packages. Committed to expanding education and human capital development, Prof. Chang continues to shape the future of HR and technology integration worldwide.
Workshop 1 Theme: Romania-UK Research Collaboration and Appreciation
The first workshop is designed for the academic staff, researchers and doctoral students, aiming to introduce the research collaboration potential between UoB and UEL research groups (inc. researchers), in line with the joint resource synergy and strategical partnership. Workshop 1 will be culminated to recognise the success of existing collaboration (Oana-Mara & Kirk), setting a feasible exemplar for future ICUB-CIME teamwork and pertinent research-facilitation initiatives.
Workshop 2 Theme: Journal publication acumen, skill and knowledge.
The second workshop is designed for both researchers, postgraduates and master students, aiming to equip attendants with journal manuscript know-how, from start-up, selecting target, submission preparation, revision types to negotiation with the reviewers. Relevant publication acumen, knowledge and skills are addressed. Ample time will also be reserved for the Q&A and networking.

The third workshop is designed for widening participation, welcoming academics, researchers, student, industry ad the general public. The workshop comprises two parts. Part 1 will review and share the success of international research collaboration experience (UK, Turkey, India), incorporating the database: 12,281 publications with spectrum (1975-2025). The challenges and opportunities are also explored. Part 2 will be delivered in an informal mode and social environment, welcoming the participation from the attendants. Research networking with interdisciplinary engagement will be welcome and hence encouraged.
