The ArchaeoSciences Division within the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest will organize, between June 6-7, 2021, a new event from the ArchaeoSciences Workshops series, reunited under the title “Introduction to Bioarchaeology”.
The workshop is addressed to UB students, masters and doctoral students and will include the following lectures:
Anthropology – Andreea Toma & Dr. Gabriel Vasile
Carpology – Drd. Mihaela Golea
Mammalian Archaeozoology – Dr. Adrian Bălășescu
Archaeozoology of the Paleolithic on the Bistrița Valley – Dr. Valentin Dumitrașcu
Aquatic resources exploited in prehistory – Dr. Valentin Radu
The workshop aims to familiarize students at all levels of vocational training (bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate) with the main directions and trends related to bioarchaeological disciplines (zooarchaeology, malacology, archeoihtiology, archaeobotany and anthropology).
The event will occur at the Academy House, Calea 13 Septembrie, no. 13, Bucharest, starting at 10.00 am and is organized within the Waterscape project (PN-III-P4-ID-PCE-2020-2369
