Andreea Elena Cârstea works as a science communication specialist within the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest.
She has a BA in History and an MA in recent and contemporary history, both from the Faculty of History and Philosophy, Babeş-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, and an MA in Communication and Advertising (taught in English) from the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, National School of Political and Administrative Studies, Bucharest.
She defended her PhD thesis, “Legitimation Strategies in Romanian Electoral Discourse. Campaign Themes in the Presidential Elections between 1990 and 2000”, in 2014, at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, Bucharest.
She has over 20 years of experience in oral history research and coordinated or took part in numerous editorial, cultural and research projects. From July 2018, she works as a communication specialist at the University of Bucharest. Her main areas of interest regard science communication, oral history, recent and contemporary history, history of communism, discourse analysis and political discourse.
Andreea Elena Cârstea works as a science communication specialist within the Institute, active both in promotion and communication of research projects and event planning activities.
