Catalin Lazar (PhD) is a researcher at the University of Bucharest, and the Main Coordinator of the ArchaeoScience#RO Platform at Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB). He also is an associate researcher of the Center for Comparative History of Ancient Societies (CICSA), Faculty of History, University of Bucharest.
His research interests include excavation of Neolithic and Eneolithic sites, funerary behaviours, paleodemography and mortuary practices in South-Eastern Europe. He also works in bio-cultural identities, past population dynamics, experimental archaeology and human-landscape interaction. He has written many articles and is involved in several research projects
